March 2020 Minutes
Minutes of the meeting of Cowbit Parish Council held on Monday 2nd March 2020 at Cowbit Village Hall at 7.30pm.
Attendance. Cllrs Tyrrell, Elliott, Fragale and Barnes.
5 members of public.
1. Welcome. Chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting. Also gave thanks to those volunteers who give their free time for the Community Speed Watch.
Public Forum.
It was announced that the Pride Team was having a village clean up on 6th April and all help with generating a list of areas would be most welcome.
2. Apologies.
a. No apologies had been received.
b. The current vacant co-opted seat was offered to Mr Daniel Sandhu, who accepted and duly signed all the required paperwork. Welcome Daniel, who joined the Councillors.

3. Declarations of interest.
a. None received
4. Notes of the meeting held on 20th January 2020 to be approved as the new minutes.
a. It was resolved to accept these notes as the minutes. Duly signed.
5. Matters arising from the minutes.
a. None.
6. Police matters.
a. None.
b. The Police had been in attendance due to a gathering of people in the bus shelter and the involvement of alcohol. It was discussed to remove the bus shelter but Clerk needed to discuss a replacement with the bus company who may provide a more open type shelter.
7. Cemetery matters.
a. Ongoing.
8. Highways matters/CSW.
a. Highways matters. Nothing to report.
b. CSW report. The volunteers are in attendance weather permitting.
c. SID. The unit is still having work done to it to get it fully functional.
9. Financial report.
a. The financial report had been circulated and it was resolved by all to accept the figures given.
10. Planning matters.
a. Planning applications had been circulated and any comments made were listed on the SHDC portal.
11. Village Hall representative.
a. Chairman Darren Harper gave an overview of currently activities. There was a National Open Day in January for village halls, and the local MP, Sir John Hayes had attended. The AGM is planned for March. Lots of events are in the planning stages and the committee is looking for local companies to sponsor various events. VE Day in May, Pop-up-Pub and the June Garden Party. August 22nd is Fun on the Field, with classic cars and music already booked.
12. Playing field/Pavillion.
The barrier to the playing field has now been repaired and working. This will stop any cars having access.
13. Correspondence.
a. Any correspondence received had been included in the meeting.
14. Councillor’s reports & items not on the agenda.
a. None.
